Here are this week's Prayers of the Faithful:
For scripture and prayer to deepen our faith, and prepare us for the Spirit to descend upon us all, and empower us to be credible Christians, who live the Gospel in our words and in our deeds; we pray to the Lord.
For Pope Francis, and all bishops and clergy, to be humble and obedient servants of Christ, with whom God is well pleased; we pray to the Lord.
For our country; may the leaders of our nation make decisions which promote the Godly and constitutional values upon which it was founded, to ensure true peace, justice, and the common good; we pray to the Lord.
For Louis DiFrancesco, baptized into our parish family this weekend; for his parents and godparents to teach him to know Jesus, and to live the Gospel; we pray to the Lord.
For all who need healing of body and soul, to seek Jesus, the Mighty One among us, to be healed and made whole; we pray to the Lord.
For all who have gone before us, and for Jean Catignani, who recently died, and for Ken Desjean, Andrew Shimek, Kevin Murray and the parishioners of Our Lady of the Lake, whom we remember at this Mass; for the heavens to open and their souls to behold the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; we pray to the Lord.
For all service men and women and their loved ones, for the intentions in our Parish Book of Prayers and on our Prayer Line, and for all those prayers deep within our hearts, that are known to God alone; we pray to the Lord.
