I am happy to announce that Father Michael Broderick is the new Pastor of Our Lady of the Lake, effective June 30th.
Father Mike has been a priest for 30 years this year. Prior to becoming a priest, he was Director of Religious Education at St. Anne’s Parish in Shrewsbury. He has been pastor in Rutland for the past four years, and prior to that he was a very successful pastor in Whitinsville for over 20 years. He has done great work as pastor of both these parishes and been much loved by the people.
He is a talented, creative, collaborative leader, and I am sure he will thoroughly enjoy working with all of you. He is fortunate to be coming to this great parish and to be working with such a dedicated group of people who truly love continuing the mission of Jesus in our day.
Father Mike is a good friend of Father Tim. He was one of three priests recommended by Father Tim to succeed him. Fortunately, I won that contest!!! He was my first choice to succeed me at Our Lady of the Lake.
I think you will enjoy working with him, and I know how welcome you will make him feel when he arrives on June 30th. Peace, and all good things to all of you.
Peace, and all good things to all of you,
Father Dennis O'Brien
