On Sunday, November 13th at 6:30pm (please note the change in date), we will hold our second Parish Town Meeting. The purpose of the meeting is twofold: to report and to listen.
The most important part of the meeting will be the opportunity for me to listen to your concerns, to hear your suggestions and hopes and dreams for the future of our parish. I would like to receive feedback, positive and negative, about how things are going in the parish from your perspective and to entertain any questions you may have with regard to all aspects of parish life here at Our Lady of the Lake. If you cannot be at the meeting and would like to meet with me privately, please feel free to call me anytime. I am always happy to meet with any parishioner.
For the past twelve months, Msgr. Jim has chaired a Church Restoration Committee for us here at Our Lady of the Lake. The purpose of the committee was to look carefully at the inside of our Church and to identify things that are in need of repair, updating, or restoration. The last time anything was done to the inside of the Church was in 1994 under the leadership of Father Hoey. The committee is now ready to present their recommendations to the parish for consultation and input. This information will be presented at the Parish Town Meeting. The proposal will be published ahead of time in the bulletin and on our parish web site for your review in preparation for the meeting. Please plan to join in the discussion.
If you have any agenda items you would like to be discussed, please let me know this week by emailing the parish office at [email protected]. Please try to join us for this meeting. Thanks to all of you who continue to share so generously your time, talent, and treasure which enables us to do so much together as a parish family for the Kingdom of God. All you do is greatly, greatly appreciated!
