Here are this week's Prayers of the Faithful:
That we deepen our faith and end the hypocrisy that Jesus warns us about, of judging others, instead of ourselves; we pray to the Lord.
For more vocations of all kinds: to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life, holy matrimony, and the blessed single life; may all of God’s people discern and respond to His call to love and serve according to His will; we pray to the Lord.
For removal of the beam of fear and indifference that blinds our nation to the needs of those who seek safety and peace; for immigration reform that ensures the common good, and welcomes those seeking the American Dream; we pray to the Lord.
For those overcome by grief and the sting of death, to be steadfast in faith and see death as the door that leads to victory with Christ; we pray to the Lord.
For all who are ill and broken in spirit; and for David Bremer and Pope Francis; for the healing and hope of our compassionate God to cure and restore their body and soul; we pray to the Lord.
For all who have gone before us, and for Linda Wood, who recently died, and for Francis Boivin, Margaret Little, Adele Bouchard, Linda Hagedorn, Brittny Harrison and Mae Haney, whom we remember at this Mass; for our merciful Lord to see the good fruit of their lives, and grant them pardon and peace; we pray to the Lord.
For all service men and women, and especially those in harm’s way, and for their loved ones; and for the intentions in our Parish Book of Prayers and on our Prayer Line; and for all those prayers deep within our hearts, that are known to God alone; we pray to the Lord.
