Safe Environment Training & CORI Background Checks
Safe Environment Training & Yearly CORI Background Checks
All educators, and volunteers who come into contact with children in any way, must participate in Safe Environment Training and submit an updated CORI form, for the protection of all program participants.
New this year, the Diocese is offering on-line Safe Environment Training. To participate in this program, please contact Debbie Bronchuk at [email protected] to provide her with your email address. She will then contact the Office for Healing and Prevention.
Within 2-3 days, you'll receive an email from Cathaleen Pelloquin from the Worcester Diocese, with the link for you to use to take the online course. (If you don't get it, check your spam folder to make sure it didn't get sent there!) Then you just click on the link and take the course at your convenience.
At the end of the program, you'll take a quiz to see what you've learned. Upon completion, you will see a certificate that you can print out. You can forward that to Michelle directly, or bring her a paper copy, so that it can be put in your permanent record.
Also, each year, a new CORI form, with a copy of your current driver’s license attached, must be submitted. You can click here to print out set of combined Code of Minsterial Conduct and CORI forms, which can be completed and submitted to our Safe Environment Coordinator, Debbie Bronchuk, in the Religious Education Office. Additional details regarding the CORI process can be found at the Diocese CORI Background Check web page. Although a CORI form must be completed each year, the Safe Environment Training and Code of Conduct Acknowledgement need only be completed once.
For any questions concerning your compliance with these mandates, please contact Debbie Bronchuk at the Religious Education line, (978) 342-2978, Option 4, or [email protected].
